It would be great if the power distribution units, namely the PDU Pro and PDU HD allowed any number of individual outlets to run in a sequence. Of course having outlets able to stay always on is also important for the computer and networking side of things.

A menu bar item or task bar item for Mac/PC to select the PDU and power the sequence up and down from your desktop would be an amazing feature as well.

UniFi is incorrectly identifying five Ring devices on the network as MikroTik hAP ac lite devices.

I verified the MAC addresses independently by checking their OUI/manufacturer registrations. All five MAC addresses are registered to Ring LLC:

This appears to be an incorrect device fingerprint/classification. I can provide screenshots of the UniFi client details showing the incorrect MikroTik identification, as well as a UniFi support file if needed. Is this the best way to report this issue?

We do receive email alerts that notify us of the CyberSecure renewals. However, it is missing which UDM the renewal is for, just directs us to the Accounts page. Then on the Accounts page, from the CyberSecure drop-down we have a list of devices that can be renewed.

Another non-intuitive option is the drop down for "Site/Host" under CyberSecure Subscriptions. What is that for? Why would we change the Site/Host for a renewal of a device?

None of our clients have Site Support (except our own site). The location of Site Support renewall is in the Account page as well. Like the other services, it is difficult to tell if the renewal is going to be automatic or manual. There is no toggle to enable or disable automatic renewals.

Lastly, there is nowhere to track UI Care subscriptions. We have no way of knowing if a device has UI Care other than going back to the original invoice from the UI Store, but even then, the serial numbers are not on the invoice to track. What if we didn't purchase it and the customer purchased an UDM with UI Care, how would we see if it is covered?

I know the major marketing of Ubiquiti is to be free of being tied down by licenses and we couldn't be more onboard. In fact we are moving as many customers as we can off of those other providers that lock everything down by their licensed services. But even the few extra services that happen to be licensed are missing an easy way to manage them. That's were the other providers have an edge for MSP's still, they've had years to develop those portals to very quickly and easily take our money :)

The 12U racks are supernice for smaller installations, just got the 12U swing, which is very good quality.

The problem arises with the accessories for it.

The rails unifi has does not fit in the smal racks, they can't adapt to the shallower depth. Having a NAS or a UPS then gets to be an issue, unless you hang them in the rackears and really want to mangle them.

Furthermore the UNAS pro doesn't even have screw holes for a rail (what???).

So buying other rails like these:

to get the devices properly supported works very well.

Then comes the next problem, the unifi blinds (OCD),when you have to get a rail like the one above, you loose a unit below it (as it takes 3-5 mm below the unit), and then when you try to use the OCD panel with the current rackears there is not enough space, as the rackears goes into the rack, and other blind panels just is a simple flat panel, that doesn't go into the rack.

So to make this fit, I have to take an angle grinder to the hinges.

That is not the way.

1. Where is the safest directory to store custom scripts and persistent data so they won't be wiped during UniFi OS firmware updates?
2. Will a UniFi OS update overwrite custom cron jobs? If yes, then is there any way to cope with it?

I run four UniFi UPS 2U (EU) and plan to use more of them. Today I use each device’s original cable plus UACC-Cable-C14-SK-F. That works, but I don’t want adapter barrels in the path — an extra joint is one more place to seat wrong or fail. A single C14→C5 cord into the UPS C13 outlet is cleaner and more reliable.

Priority ask: C14 → C5.

Use cases, in order:

1. UniFi — UCG-Fiber, U-PoE++, UACC-PoE++-10G
2. Mac Studio
3. NVIDIA DGX Spark
4. Synology NAS
5. Audio / turntable system (same C6 brick pattern)

Also desirable later: C14 → C7 for Mac minis. C5 is the priority; C7 would complete the same UPS accessory story for figure-8 bricks.

UniFi already sells UACC-Cable-C13-C14 and the short C14-to-wall adapters. C14→C5 (and optionally C14→C7) is the missing direct UPS length in that family.

Suggested SKU (C5 first):

• Ends: C14 male → C5 female
• Lengths: 0.5 m, 1 m, 2 m
• Rating: C5-class (typically 2.5 A)
• Cert: EU / VDE (and US/UL if you ship NA)

I would buy these across the four UPS 2U units so the whole install stays on official power accessories with no adapter links. Happy to clarify lengths or quantities if useful.

I got message 'Plug in Cable' after a storm and power outage. Not sure if everything is related or not. Tried to reset. Didn't work. Tried to enter into Recovery mode - displayed 192.168.1.30 for recovery mode. Followed steps on UI page and YT videos - but neither Mac nor Windows - has not recognized the above said IP address. All the POE ports do not have any blinking. The WAN port 9 has white blinking light when plugged ethernet. Not sure how to fix the console, unless this has to be sent for repair or its beyond repair. Any help is greatly appreciated. TIA!

I am experiencing what appears to be a compatibility issue between a UniFi UPS 2U (EU version) and an HPE DL380 Gen10 server.

Hardware:

- HPE DL380 Gen10

- HPE Flex Slot Platinum Power Supply 500W (865408-B21)

- UniFi UPS 2U (EU)

- Latest available UniFi firmware

Setup:

- PSU1 connected directly to mains power

- PSU2 connected to the UniFi UPS 2U

Expected behavior:

When mains power fails, PSU1 should lose AC input while PSU2 continues to power the server from the UPS battery.

Actual behavior:

As soon as the UPS switches to battery mode, the HPE power supply connected to the UPS immediately shuts down.

Observed symptoms:

- PSU LED turns completely off

- iLO reports:

- "Input Power Loss or Unplugged Power Cord, Verify Power Supply Input"

- "System Power Supplies Not Redundant"

- The PSU itself reports "Over Voltage"

Additional information:

The exact same server, power supply, and wiring configuration previously worked correctly with an APC Back-UPS BR650MI.

With the APC UPS:

- PSU1 connected to mains

- PSU2 connected to APC UPS

- Mains failure was handled correctly

With the UniFi UPS:

- The PSU immediately loses input power when the UPS enters battery mode

- The server would shut down if the second PSU was not connected to mains

Has anyone successfully tested the UniFi UPS 2U with HPE Gen10 Flex Slot power supplies?

I would be interested to know whether this is a known compatibility issue or if additional diagnostics are available.

Can you please help me determine exactly which SFP supports this 1G fiber connector? I currently have an ISP provided Huawei Router (EG8145B7N-50) and I want to replace it with a new Unifi router. My ISP allows me to use my own router.

I currently have a Unifi USW 48 PoE switch installed.

Also, if you can go 1 step further helping me, then also which Unifi routers support that SFP/connection. I am a residential household, with 12 Unifi access points and about 10 IOT devices, 4 people. Big house in europe (all stone walls, hence so many AP's)
