How can this not be a thing already? No one thought to incorporate or import the sites/devices/connections/ports/LANs when adding equipment? Do they expect us to only use it for brand new deployments?

Please tell me its there I'm just missing it.

And add local backup of the post while writing, that in the above case or if the app would crash or if it fails to send the post we can then retry and dont have to write everything again.

On a side note, the "Ask a Question" UX is pretty bad as well. It says "Title", with nothing else. No separation between the title and body of the post. How do you know where the title ends and the body begins? Put the entire post in the title and hope some AI magic knows how to format it? It's just not intuitive at all. I ended up writing this up on a PC browser...

I have other gripes about the reply/posting experience but I'll leave them out for now.

This way, during prewire phase of job we can snap pictures of the wire with open walls in case we need to refer back to that point when Sheetrock is up. Can’t tell you how many time lines get covered up once Sheetrock goes up.

I recently bought an iPad Air 13” M4 (2026) and installed the UniFi Design app because I want to capture spaces using augmented reality (AR).

However, I’ve searched everywhere for the “+” options or any way to start the AR scan, and nothing appears.

Does anyone know if this feature is still available on iOS or if I need to enable something additional? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

4 things I'm requesting:

1) We have quite a few customers that have quite a bit of UISP equipment in the same racks that normal Unifi equipment is in and it would be SUPER SUPER nice if Ubiquiti can add their entire product portfolio to the design center so we can get away from using "1U Generic Device"

2) Unless I'm totally blind, I only see support for 1 rack per design? It's odd though because it says "Rack 1" in the lower left. In my instance, we also have several customers that have far more than 1 rack and we have UI equipment in more than 1 rack and we have devices in say Rack 2 connected to Rack 1 and Rack 3 going to rack 2 and rack 1 both. Just examples - You get the gist of it. How can we allow the design center to have more than 1 rack and also be able to "tie them together" for lack of better words. IE: I have a UISP switch feeding say 5 firewalls and those other firewalls are not even in the same rack.

Just a few thoughts as I've gone back and proactively started designing rack layouts for my customers.

EDIT:

3) It would be also nice to have options for more common rack items such as:

Shelves - 1U/2U/3U

Fiber trays - 1U/2U/3U (Similar to a patch panel but they pull out)

4) Racks - There are options for 42U and 48U but we have lots that are actually 45U so there should be an option for a 45U rack as well! :-)
